With an illustrious career spanning over 30 years, Professor Chow is a well-respected surgical oncologist and academic clinician who enjoys strong professional standing in the Singapore and international medical communities. He is also widely recognised as a passionate and dedicated educator and has proven to be a leader who walks the talk, providing valuable and practical help. 

Professor Hwang Ying Khee, William (Academic Chair, Oncology ACP) and Clinical Associate Professor Ho Sun Sien, Henry (Academic Chair, Surgery ACP)

Clinical Associate Professor Chua is a highly competent clinician, a visionary leader in the cardiothoracic field and a great teacher who has contributed enormously to the field of academic medicine. He takes the effort to nurture and develop the younger generations of doctors to their fullest potential. He reminds them constantly to uphold a doctor’s duty and integrity, and often encourages them to press on with what he believes they can be.

Clinical Professor Chua Siang Jin, Terrance (Academic Chair, Cardiovascular Sciences Academic Clinical Programme)

Professor Ho is an excellent clinician and a renowned gynaecological oncologist. He devoted his career to developing and nurturing world-class clinicians through high quality specialty training. He played an instrumental role in the development and structuring of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) medical education locally and internationally. Not only has he raised the standards of O&G specialty in Singapore, he has also turned the international spotlight on Singapore.

Associate Professor Koo is an outstanding clinician, teacher, mentor, patient advocate, researcher and administrator. He is an exemplary role model who is widely respected for his immense passion and unswerving commitment to patients and public healthcare. He is a strong advocate for patient care and well-being. He sees the potential of others, creates opportunities for them, and always goes the extra mile to meet the needs of staff and treats them with dignity, hence earning their respect and trust.

Associate Professor Lim has an outstanding list of achievements, most notably in leadership and education. He is a visionary leader who spearheaded the establishment of various sub-specialties. He has educated, mentored and inspired an entire generation of healthcare professionals, many of whom are leaders in our organisation today. He is a man with the highest level of integrity, professionalism and dedication to his patients and the society.

Associate Professor Soh Chai Rick (Academic Chair, Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Sciences Academic Clinical Programme)

Professor Ooi’s visionary leadership was instrumental in raising the stature of academic medicine in our campus; enabling SingHealth to be an internationally well-recognised centre of excellence in academic medicine. His work on reorganising surgical services has contributed immensely to improved patient care and sub-specialty research. He is a fervent advocate of patient safety and works tirelessly to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.

Clinical Associate Professor Ho Sun Sien, Henry (Academic Chair, Surgery Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Professor Raja as he is affectionately known, has dedicated over 40 years of service in public healthcare. He is an exemplary and inspirational clinician who has taught and mentored many generations of clinicians. He strongly believes that teaching and passing on the wisdom of the “art and science” of clinical medicine is essential in ensuring the success of future generations of doctors. Clinical Professor Raja is the epitome of an all-rounded clinician whom all clinicians aspire to be.”

Associate Professor Loo Chian Min (Academic Chair, Medicine Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Associate Professor Tan is well-respected by the paediatric community as a highly-experienced and astute physician with a strong clinical acumen. She started the Paediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation programme, performing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for children with relapsed leukaemia. She also set up the first dedicated childhood cancer survivorship programme in the region, focused on providing care and research in physical and psychosocial late effects of childhood cancer treatment. 

 Clinical Associate Professor Chan Yoke Hwee (Academic Chair, Paediatrics Academic Clinical Programme)

Clinical Associate Professor Wong is recognised as one of Asia’s leading ophthalmologists in the field of retinal and macular diseases. He has been instrumental in establishing the Vitreo-Retina Department in Singapore National Eye Centre as one of the most recognised and respected in Asia. He is a rare senior surgeon whose humility, ethics, integrity and honesty are extraordinary. He is regularly called upon to provide counsel and advice to faculty members and staff on professionalism and ethics-related matters.
